Leicester City have completed one of the most remarkable stories in the history of English football
You don’t have to be a supporter of unfashionable Leicester City you don’t need to know where Leicester is even- to be moist- eyed at their inspiring achievement. A team that was expected to struggle to survive in England’s Premier League has emerged as champions.

Written off as relegation candidates at the start of the season, when the bookmakers made Leicester 5000-1 outsiders to be crowned champions, they secured the first top-flight title in the club’s history after Tottenham were unable to beat Chelsea.

The team was consistent and won almost all the important matches. Mahrez and Vardy formed one of the best partnership.Congratulations to Leicester City for their incredible and inspiring victory.

2) Portugal wins EURO 2016: Portugal gatecrashed France’s Euro 2016 party to win the European Championship for the first time in the history. Final victory happened without the leading star and Real Madrid forward, Cristiano Ronaldo, who was forced out of the game with a knee injury in the first half.

Twelve years after losing to Greece on home soil in their last final appearance, it was Portugal’s turn to spoil the host’s nation party by an extra time goal from Eder.
It was dull and stodgy at times, No one ever thought that Portugal would even reach the semi-finals but football is insane, only record books will show that the team went from third place in its group to champion, with little help from Ronaldo in its last match
Portugal coach Santos added: “I always said we were a team. I told them we have a lot of quality and talent. But first, we have to run and fight”.
Portugal team lived up to the expectations of coach and won what they rightfully deserved.

3.)Ronaldo wins Ballon d'Or 4th Time:

Cristiano Ronaldo capped a brilliant year by being named as the winner of the Ballond’Or for the year 2016 in Paris. The Portugal and Real Madrid forward topped the poll of 173 journalists worldwide to take home France Football magazine’s most coveted award.

In doing so he beat the likes of perennial rival Lionel Messi of Barcelona and Atletico Madrid’s Antonio Griezmann, who finished second and third respectively.

It is the fourth time Ronaldo has won the award after picking it up in 2008, 2013 and 2014.In 55 appearances for the club and the country, the 31-year-old racked up 51 goals and 17 assists and became one of an exclusive group of players to taste European success on both fronts in the same year.

4) Francesco Totti signing on for one final season:

A one-club player, Totti has spent his entire career at AS Roma, joining the youth side in 1989 and captaining the club ever since he was 20 years old. He has won one Scudetto, two Coppa Italia, and two Super Coppa Italia titles with the Giallarossi in addition to a whopping 16 runners-up medals across the three competitions.

The former Italy international, who is the club’s all-time leading goalscorer and record appearance holder, will get the chance to add to those numbers after signing up for one more campaign.

“I really wanted this contract, it represents the realization of my dream,” Totti told the club’s official website. “I always wanted to end my career having only worn one shirt – the Roma one.”

He’s earnt this contract and now we want Francesco’s final season on the pitch to be the start of a new era of success for AS Roma.

5.) A difficult season for Real Madrid:

It was a difficult season for Real Madrid. With huge expectations from fans, Real Madrid was handling a lot of pressure and players were not able to produce what they were capable of.
The league once looked gone, and the Champions League threatened to be similar.

But Zidane’s arrival breathed new life into Real Madrid and the Team found itself once again. From being threatened with 0 trophies the second season in a row to winning Champions League in the most dramatic way against the local rivals.
